Benfica are weighing up a move to bring back their former player Javi Garcia from Manchester City this month, it has emerged.
The Portuguese giants are facing the possible departure of key midfielder Nemanja Matic to Chelsea in this transfer window, and are already on the lookout for potential replacements.SportsDirect News understands that Garcia is among their main targets, alongside Tottenham Hotspur's Brazilian midfielder Sandro.
Benfica will likely have money to spend with Matic set to command a fee of around £30million, and will be looking to reinvest that cash into their team.
Despite reaching the Europa League final last season, a host of the club's best players have been linked with moves away over the last few months.
